Opening the Winnipeg version of the Juno Awards in 2008 is just one of the things that has helped One Blue Door access and convert more people into fans than they would have in any other case. Between Steven Cote, E, Karol, and Kevin Cote, this group, who label themselves as "Prairie Rock", has seen their stock within their local scene go up quickly, based on what they believe are key ideas: If they write music they enjoy playing, the audience will enjoy watching and listening, and that Harmonies(Specifically the 3 part harmonies the group specializes in), make people sit up and take notice. Being a 4-piece act comprised of Guitar, Bass, Percussion, and voices, they can show up and play at almost any venue, and make themselves heard, and enjoyed.
One Blue Door is currently looking to expand their fan base to the east, West, and South of Winnipeg, the home base for this Manitoba quartet.
