Lee Serviss

Lee Serviss started writing songs while he was still wearing track suits back in 1994. It wasn't until he started playing at the local punk shows that he discovered that denim and leather looked better together. His high school punk band "The Locals" were the coolest kids in school. At least they thought so. It was the year 2000 and the world didn't end, so Lee and his punk band, who had changed their name to "Far From Heroes", bought a van and toured the country violently. FFH signed with a small indie label from Vancouver, "Spawner Records". The label got the band playing all kinds of places and got their music into the peoples cassette players. They even had a video on much music and were featured on "The Punk Show". In 2002, the band signed with a manager who got them in the door at Sony Music Canada. Lee and Far From Heroes played a showcase and won the hearts of A and R man Mike Roth. Mike made sure that Lee was writing steadily and working with the in house producers to develop his writing abilities. As it turned out, Sony Music Canada was going through some changes, so Lee along with Far From Heroes fell by the wayside. In 2004 Far From Heroes split up. In September of 2005 Lee moved from his hometown, Sudbury On, to Toronto On to attend Seneca College for the Independent Music Production program. He picked up many useful tools over the next year to help his career in music. He even landed a job writing music for television at a well established entertainment company. During this period, Lee had started another Band called "Kansas City Shuffle" and they had an impressive following in Toronto. As they say, all good things must end, and Lee Serviss was laid off from the entertainment company, and once again, the band broke up. So it was 2008, Lee moved outside of Toronto and started a new life. Along with this new life came a new kind of song writing. He sold most of the musical equipment he owned and was left with one acoustic guitar. A little while later he received a phone call from a guy who called himself "Myke Rush". Myke had heard some of Lee's songs and wanted to jam with him. Myke had great vocal harmonies and guitar parts to add to Lee's songs, so a year later Lee Serviss and Myke Rush are writing and recording together, and playing whenever and wherever they can.
